Repair work is carried out in cooperation with a BGA approved and Polish certified repair workshop (CAIB - Certificate No 006/01). They specialise in repairing and refinishing composite sailplane structures including Carbon, Kevlar and Glass fiber. They have over 20 years experience working for the SZD company giving them a significant advantage over other repair facilities.
Recently we have done major repairs on a Discus, K21, LS6, ASW27, ASW20CL and SZD Junior. All to a very high service standard, quality and to a agreed time schedule.
We give a detailed quote and time estimate for major repairs. If necessary we have the damage assessed by the polish workshop. Before work begins costs are agreed.
A full photographic record is made of all the damage and the various stages of repair. Once the repair is completed the glider is re-weighed and test flown by a certified polish test pilot. We inspect the glider before releasing it to the customer, we can also arrange for the customer to inspect the glider in Poland before taking delivery.
We can arrange fixed price door to door transport at very short notice, the journey each way is approximately 2 days.
It can be extremely cost effective to get a glider refinished at the same time as having it repaired. |
